For the first time in history, Stanisław Lem and Daniel Mróz were immortalized on a coin!
This is the first 200 g silver coin in the "Stanisław Lem" series, which represents the author of the novel and the illustrator of these stories. The combination of valuable metal and the global science-fiction phenomenon is a recipe for a successful investment.
The coin was struck from 200 g of pure silver of the highest purity, in a limited mintage of only 100 pieces. This factor makes it an excellent collector's item. On the reverse of the coin there are images of a tandem of eminent artists: the writer Stanisław Lem and the graphic artist from Kraków, Daniel Mróz, whose handwritten ink illustrations of "Fables for Robots" and "Cyberiad" have been remembered by generations of readers as an iconic representation of Lem's universe. In the foreground, partially obscured by abstract geometric structures taken from Mróz's graphics, there are illustrator's tools and some of Lem's most popular volumes of prose: "Solaris", "Cyberiada", "Eden". On the other hand, on the obverse, there is a fragment of a figure from Daniel Mróz's drawing from 1972 for Stanisław Lem's "Cyberiad".
The coin is packed in an elegant wooden box with a certificate of authenticity.
